Tangled cake: top of tower tutorial

You can use a sugar cone or if you are doing a tangled tower on a larger scale you can use a waffle cone.

Wrap your cone with fondant.

glue your covered cone to your base(cake or foam)

roll out brown fondant and cut out a square using your square cutter

take a smaller square cutter and cut out 4 squares inside your bigger square

attach your window to your base

roll out 2 log shaped(tapered at on end)

curl in the ends opposite from each other

attach your window sides

Roll out a piece of fondant into the shape you want for the top of you window. I just shaped this by hand.

attach this piece to the top of your window

roll out a thin piece of brown fondant cut 1" strip and then cut in half.

now you have 2 1/2" pieces. Curl ends.

this is what they look like when both ends are curled

Attach both pieces to the top of your window

roll out a piece of brown and cut out a strip for the bottom of your window

roll out fondant in a few different colors and cut out flowers for the window. Roll out a thin log shaped green piece of fondant.

this is what it looks like at this point

Roll out a piece of colored fondant. This will be used for the roof.

Lightly score the top of you piece for fondant.

Now using a small square cutter cut out the tiles for the roof.

Start adding your tiles at the front working your way around.

continue adding your tiles until you reach the top.
once tiles are all the way at the top roll a small ball and attach it to the top.
Here is the one I did a few months ago.
